This is a tin canteen that is a "Medical" style canteen. It is horseshoe shaped with a flat bottom. It measures 8 ½ inches high and 8 ½ inch wide. It is 1 ¾ inches wide. The spout is made of tin and is 1 inch in diameter. It has one single loop on top that has remnants of a cloth wrapping. The surface is in very good condition with just a few spots of light surface rust.
