Brown wool cover is dirty and stained and shows moderate wear but is otherwise good. There are no rips or tears and no splits in the seams. The body has numerous small dents but is otherwise sound. Sling is complete and well used. It has curled some from age. Some areas are frayed but none are near breaking through. The sling has been tied in a knot to shorten it. This commonly encountered on canteens that have seen use. Original chain and cork stopper are present.
