Brown wool cover shows moderate wear but is in good shape. It is dirty and stained but only has one small seam separation approx. 1.75 inches along the bottom. The body has a few minor dents otherwise it is solid. Sling is complete and well used. It has curled some from age. A close examination did discover some initials written on the sling. Some areas of the sling are frayed but none are near breaking. Original chain and cork stopper are present. Chain wraps around sling keeper instead of passing through a drilled hole as is normally seen.
