Two-piece corps badge is either gold plated, or gold rolled. Badge has top hangar with the soldier’s name, “F. KEPPY”.  Suspended from this is the corps badge with lettering that reads, “91st REGT., CO. H, N.Y.V., 19TH AR. COR.” Center of badge has a white enamel insert.

Badge is ID’D to Frederick Keppy.  Keppy [Keppey] was 18 years old when he enlisted at Copake, NY as a Private. On 9/30/61 he mustered into Co. H, 91st NY. Discharged on 9/20/64.  Another badge we have in our inventory [M25308] indicates that he was also a Sgt. in Co. E, 5th Regt US Veteran Volunteers, Hancock’s 1st Veteran Volunteer Corps.

Item is in excellent condition. Original pin is present on reverse of hangar. Gold is very bright. No markings on reverse. Measures 2 ¼” in total length x 1 ½” wide.   [sm, ld]
