White buff enlisted man’s waist belt dyed black on the outside to conform to the 1851 regulations. Belt is in unissued condition. Leather surfaces are excellent supple and strong.
Attached to one end is the brass keeper while the other end has a Pattern 1839 oval US belt plate. Both the keeper and the plate still retain all the original gilt as issued. Face of the plate has some minor discolorations. Reverse has 100% lead fill with both arrow hooks and tongue.
A fine unused example.
