$400.00 SOLD
Originally $495.00

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: M24469

Buff leather waist belt in near un-issued condition. The interior of the leather retains its natural color while the exterior surface has been darkened to comply with the 1851 regulations. The exterior surface is fairly clean with much of the original knap left and only one or two spots of discoloration and scattered minor scratches.

The Pattern 1839 oval US belt plate has a beautiful untouched face that still bears much of the original finish. It is free of dents and scratches. The plate’s reverse has 100% of the lead fill, the tongue and both arrow hooks.

The end of the belt opposite the plate has the brass keeper which has been put on backwards and two of the four prongs attaching the keeper to the belt are missing. Keeper is still firmly held in place by the two remaining prongs.  [ad]
