The leather of this cap box shows signs of use but is still in good condition.

The outer flap shows light creases throughout and some minor surface finish loss but the leather is strong and supple. Latch tab is good.

Inner flap has lost most of the surface finish but it has both ears and the leather is supple. The body of the box is strong and in very nice condition. Brass finial is present at bottom. Reverse has two worn and heavily used belt loops. The center of the back is stamped with a small “D.”

The box has the lamb’s wool lining inside but no nipple pick.
