Leather box to hold cartridge packs. This box has two narrow belt loops that are sewn and riveted, a latch tab that is sewn and riveted, a brass finial, and an outer flap to cover the contents. This cartridge box is in exceptional condition. The whole piece is clean, soft, and pliable. All stitching is still tight. Some verdigris is present on brass finial.
Stamped on lower left corner with upside down “US”. Lower right corner is stamped with the inspector’s name, “T J SHEPARD”. [sm]
