Pattern 1864 US cartridge box in good condition. The outer surfaces of the box exhibit wear from age and use. The entire box shows moderate crazing throughout. The embossed “US” in an oval is faint. Latch-tab has both a copper rivet and sewn attachment and is in solid condition. The inner flap has both ears, but stitching is loose on both ears. Interior has a complete implement pocket. The bottom of the box has both roller buckles and round brass finial. The leather under the roller buckles is slightly dented showing that the box was used.
