MAKER MARKED U.S. PERCUSSION CAP POUCH

$75.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: 490-1030

This is a leather percussion cap pouch. The leather throughout the box is pliable allowing the flaps to open. Moderate wear, cracking, and loss of surface finish on outer flap. The outer flap has a faint oval maker’s stamp and has integral closing tab. Tab is unbroken but has lost much of the finish around the finial hole. There is no interior flap and only one remaining “ear” is sewn to the outer flap. The body of the box is in very nice condition. There is only a very small remnant of fleece and no pick. Bottom has pointy brass finial. Reverse has both belt loops which are unbroken but with finish worn off. Belt loops are stitched and riveted. Maker’s stamp on back of pouch (between belt loops) reads “H. W. OLIVER / PITTSBURGH, PA”.  Stitching throughout is tight and unbroken. This is a decent cap pouch with maker’s stamps.  [jet]
