This is a complete percussion cap pouch. The outer flap has some minor surface cracking at the “fold” but is otherwise in very good condition. This pattern has the integral closing tab as an extension of the outer flap. The tab is unbroken. The interior flap is supple and features an oval maker’s stamp. Both inner “ears” remain firmly in place. The body of the box is complete and in excellent condition. The original fleece remains. Bottom has brass finial. Both belt loops remain in place on back. Both loops are stretched from being worn on a belt and one has a small tear at the top. All stitching is strong and intact.

An original Civil War cap pouch with wool.  [jet]
