Opposite ends of the plate are lightly bent. Both hooks are present on the reverse and all the lead fil appears to be present. A worn but complete latch tab is sewn to the underside of the flap by a single straight line of stitching only.

The interior flap is in nice condition and has both ears attached. Leather surface is smooth. Flap has a nice readable marking of “A. W. DECROW, MAKER, BANGOR, ME.”

As stated above there are no tins on the inside.

Implement pocket is in nice condition and is complete with flap, tab and keeper.

The body of the box is in nice condition. There is some wear and surface finish loss from rubbing around the edges. Both roller buckles are present, however one has a broken strap and is being held to the box one remaining strap. Bras finial is present.

Reverse has both the sling and belt loops. Belt loops are sewn and riveted. Back edge shows similar wear from rubbing.
