This is a Civil War-era percussion cap pouch. The leather shows light wear overall. This pattern has the “square” outer flap with closing tab sewn to the underside. The latch tab is broken on one side of the hole and has been glued together. . The interior flap has both “ears” firmly sewn in place. The fleece remains; no pick. Bottom has brass finial. Both narrow belt loops remain in place on back and are stitched in place. All stitching remains strong and intact.
