Leather supple throughout, while also cracking throughout, with some flaking of sling. Has a couple of repairs on rverse of sling. Complete with roller buckles and interior tins. All stitching still solid. Box & eagle breast plates exhibit darker patina with some grime and a few nicks. Marked on interior flap, “U.S. / NEW YORK”. In all, a “righteous” 1861 cartridge box, complete in all respects. Solid collectible and a handsome display piece. [jp]
