Flask meas. approx. 3.75 inches wide by 7.50 inches tall. The body is completely wrapped in woven wicker right up to the pewter throat.
Cap is pewter with cork on the inside of the dome and is attached by a fine brass chain that wraps around the spout and is anchored to a post on the cap.
The lower portion of the flask is covered by a tin cup.
Running around the flask is a braided wicker rope that passes through rings on either side of the cup and through the wicker at the shoulder of the flask and tied into a knot above the cap.
Attached to the wicker above the cup rim is an old red bordered label. Wicker has surface dirt throughout. Cup has light specks of paint.
Overall the item is in nice condition. No visible markings. [ad]
