Basque bodice is styled with a round neckline, darts, faux 3-piece back, and narrow coat sleeves. The peplum is curved in the front and pointed in the back. Hooks-and-eyes secure the front closure; there is evidence decorative buttons were attached at one time. The bodice and sleeves are lined in brown cotton twill; the peplum is lined in purple glazed cotton. Tiny piping finishes the neckline and strengthens the armscyes.
