Square wooden box that meas. approx. 4.50 x 4.50 x 3.25. The lid is wood with gutta-percha plate attached. Plate has a raised decoration with the City of Richmond’s Washington Monument at center in a raised oval supported by a laurel wreath with crossed US flags and a five-pointed star in each upper corner surrounded by a circle of 13 smaller stars.
Box and lid show very slight surface wear on sides and edges. Small brass latch is present on the front. Interior has collars one paper collar in good condition. [AD]
