Jacquard woven textile has a design of a fleur-de-lis above a shield with spread- winged eagle. Wording, “E PLURIBIS UNUM” is in the banner above eagle. Red color remains vibrant. Coverlets like this during the war era reflect the patriotic fervor of the time.
Yellowing and spots are present in areas on textile. No visible tears or holes.
Wooden frame is stained dark brown. Beaded trim on inner edge is painted in gold gilt. Measures 8” by 14 ¾”. Frame is solid. [sl]
