This is a regulation tin cup of the Civil War-era. It is constructed of heavy gauge tin with rolled lip on top edge, bottom attached by solder, and handle attached by a single rivet on bottom and two wires on top. It measures 4” tall by 4” in circumference. This cup is in very solid condition with a dark patina. It shows light surface rust, but no dents or dings.
This is a very nice example of the Army issued cup used by most Civil War soldiers. [sl]
