Exquisite Victorian woven hair bracelet with locket. This could have been a mourning piece. Bracelet band is a brown woven hair with a gold locket and clasp attached. The locket and clasp are gold and are engraved with a scrollwork design. Locket contains a lock of braided brown hair. Back of locket is engraved with “M. E. MUNROE”. Bracelet measures 6- ¼” in circumference. Locket measures 1” high x 1/2 “wide. Great condition with working clasp on right side of locket. Security chain is only attached on right side, but loop is present on left side so it could easily be re-attached.
An unusual, very collectable and wearable bracelet.
