This is a hand carved watch fob that is made from a solid piece of gutta percha one of the first plastics. It is a little over 11 inches in length. It consists of 5 large oblong links each attached by three smaller round links. On one end is a carved book attached to the fob with a brass swivel. The other end is a carved hook. Some of the small rings have cracks that are hardly noticeable from years of use.
