Oval shaped cloth covered locket meas. approx. 1.75 x 2.25 inches.

Locket has a twisted bass ring at top. The locket body is covered in a purple cloth with a gold rose and leaves printed on the reverse. Cloth shows some edge wear from rubbing but this is minor.

Sent inside the locket is a tintype of a Union soldier in a dark frock coat set within a stamped brass frame. Image has good clarity and passable contrast.   [AD]
