Ferrotypes were commonly used for small campaign pins and buttons. This brass button features a ferrotype image of Grant with his name, “GRANT” above the image. Original attachment pin on reverse is present. Measures ½” in circumference. Brass is shiny and bright and image is clear. Items such as this that feature ferrotypes are the most valuable campaign collectibles.    [sm]
