This grouping of images features various scenes of places and people. On the reverse of all eight is a handwritten inscription describing the photo, and Marines are ID’D. Photo number 1 is labeled as, “One of the gates of our Navy yard which is very little used”. Photo 2, “Capt. Draper’s wife and son and Lieut. Col. Alba coming through the gate at Headqts. The building in the rear is our hospital. The one on the left is our Guard House”. Photo 3, “Prison at Olongapo, Filipino women passing fruit and food to their husbands and friends”. Photo 4, “Prison at Olongapo road looking towards Headqts.”. Photo 5, “An arch erected in Olongapo just before Lieut. Col. Alba surrendered. The arch is made from split bamboo”. Photo 6, “the Filipino boy with the bugle was orderly for Alba….the other three boys do work for our officers at Headqts”. Photo 7, “Group of Filipino & Marine officers and several of the peace commissioners”. Photo 8, “This picture represents four of our boys and two Filipino women…..No thanks none for me”.

Images are mounted on heavy cardstock, which measures 5” x 6”.  Images are clear with good contrast. Some light surface dirt is present.  [SM]
