Cabinet card is a full standing image of an aging Union veteran from Philadelphia.

The subject stands in front of a painted backdrop of a tree with a house in the background. He stands next to a large photographer’s prop rock. The soldier wears a kepi with a wreath and number “51” attached to the front. He also wears a double-breasted overcoat tinted blue with a redlined cape. On his left chest is a GAR membership medal. The veteran also wears tinted blue trousers and at his waist is a belt with rectangular plate.

Image has good contrast and clarity. Lower right corner has a small smudge of dirt. Bottom of mount is marked “THE DAVIS STUDIO 2021 FRANKFORD AVE. PHILADELPHIA, PA.”

Reverse is blank with some small dirt spots.  [ad]
