Ca. 1888. Measures 4 x 5.875”, against white card. This monument was sculpted by Karl Gerhardt, who also sculpted the Gouvernor K. Warren statue on Gettysburg’s Little Round Top, as well as the 2nd New York Cavalry monument. The piece was dedicated in Brooklyn, CT, in 1888, and the lower left corner bears Gerhardt’s copyright date. Image is slightly faded, while remaining crisp and clear. Otherwise VG plus. Fine collectible for aficionados of Gettysburg battlefield sculpture & sculptors. No photographer's mark on reverse. [jp]
