View shows a wood floored “A” tent with fly pitched in the trees on the edge of an open field. Two soldiers are seated in camp chairs under the fly on either side of the opening to the tent. A man in civilian clothes and round hat stands to one side just outside the fly. The soldier seated at left appears to have only one leg but a close examination with a loop reveals his “missing leg” is pulled up with his foot resting on the chair’s seat and his hand is holding his knee. Due to the shade of the fly not much can be seen of the “A” tents interior except for the edge of the wood flooring and a few legs from a table and chairs.
No hint of where or when the photo was taken is present.
Image is clear with excellent contrast.
View and mount are clean.
Reverse is blank. [AD]
