CDV is a waist-up view of Confederate General James Ewell Brown “Jeb” Stuart. He is wearing a light colored double breasted frock coat. Bottom of mount is labeled, “J.E.B. STEWART”.
Reverse has a photographer’s imprint which reads, “THE MONUMENTAL PHOTOGRAPH COMPANY, NO. 178 W. BALTIMORE ST. BALTIMORE, MD”.
Image is clear and the contrast is good. Surface has some light dirt from age. Image has yellowed with time.
