CDV is a chest-up view of Lt. David A. Wasim. He is wearing a dark colored coat with shoulder boards.
Reverse has a photographer’s imprint which reads, “SEELEY & BEAL, 69 KING ST. ALEXANDRIA, VA.”. Image is ID”D by a handwritten inscription in pen on reverse.
Image is clear and the contrast is good. Surface has some light dirt from age.
Davis A. Wasim enlisted at the age of 26 on August 13, 1862 and was mustered in as a Corporal in Co. “B”, 143rd New York Volunteer Infantry. He received promotions to Sergeant and First Sergeant then mustered in as Second Lieutenant in Co. “A”, on May 6, 1865. He mustered out on July 20, 1865 at Washington, D.C. [sm]
