This CDV of James White Jr sitting on a chair with his elbow resting on a table. He is wearing an Infantry frock coat. His kepi is on the table.The backmark is Bartlett & Webster, Hartford Conn. His records indicate: Residence Lowell MA; a 24 year-old Laborer. Enlisted on 10/15/1861 as a Corporal. On 10/18/1861 he mustered into "B" Co. MA 30th Infantry. He Re-enlisted on 1/1/1864. He was Mustered Out on 7/5/1866 at Charleston, SC with the rank of 1st Sergeant.
