Reverse has an ornate photographer’s imprint for CLEMENT ROGERS…VICTORIA, CHAMBERS, DERBY which is located in central England. Reverse also has a period ink inscription that reads

“TO ANNIE TAYLOR FROM LUCY SUTTON OCT. 1873. (TAKEN MARCH 1873), “FLIRT” R.(OYAL) A.(RTILLERY) NO. 3 BATTERY, 12^TH BRIGADE. (BULL & FOX TERRIER) HAD HER FROM THE FORT NOVEMBER 1872.”  [ad]
