Photo has good clarity and contrast. Mount and paper are good. Bottom of the mount is marked RODGERS DERBY.
Reverse has an ornate photographer’s imprint for CLEMENT ROGERS…VICTORIA, CHAMBERS, DERBY which is located in central England. Reverse also has a period ink inscription that reads
“TO ANNIE TAYLOR FROM LUCY SUTTON OCT. 1873. (TAKEN MARCH 1873), “FLIRT” R.(OYAL) A.(RTILLERY) NO. 3 BATTERY, 12TH BRIGADE. (BULL & FOX TERRIER) HAD HER FROM THE FORT NOVEMBER 1872.” [ad]
