Nice clear image of an unknown woman wearing a white dress with tinted red spots or flowers set in a geometric pattern highlighted in ink. The front bottom of the dress is pulled up exposing a white undergarment. She also wears a white apron with a red border. The skirt of the apron has two horizontal pockets also highlighted in red.

On her head the subject wears a white lace headpiece with a red bow at front and she also sports rather large ball earrings.

Subject is posed with her arms folded across her chest and looks to be ready for work. She could possibly be a volunteer nurse but it is hard to tell for sure. This image came with one of another woman dressed somewhat similarly which was identified as a “Bazaar Costume.” There was a Bazaar held in Buffalo and these women may have been involved.

Image is clear with excellent contrast. Paper and mount have light surface dirt with mount edges showing slight wear.

Reverse has photographer’s imprint for G. A. DOUGLASS & CO. BUFFALO, N.Y.
