Standing at center is an officer wearing a dark slouch hat and dark commercial sack coat with matching trousers, knee high boots, waist belt and sword. He has shoulder straps but the rank cannot be made out. Seated to the officer’s right (the viewer’s left) is a civilian in a dark suit with his light colored slouch hat on his knee. Seated on the opposite side of the standing officer is a major or lieutenant colonel wearing a dark forage cap, double-breasted frock coat open at the collar revealing his checkered shirt beneath and matching dark trousers.

In the tent in the background can be seen a table, cot, stool, folded chair and a uniform coat and slouch hat resting on a table.

For the most part the clarity and contrast is okay but the upper portion of the image is too light and obscures the face of the standing officer.
