SIXTH PLATE AMBROTYPE OF SHEEP

$675.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: 894-47

This is a full standing view of a dark colored sheep with a white face. A man is standing to the side holding on to it, likely to keep it still for the image to be taken.

Image is clear with fair contrast. Some light oxidation has occurred.

Image comes housed in full pressed paper case, which is in very good condition, except that it is split at the spine.  Case is lined in faded red colored velvet which has an embossed design. Decorative brass mat surrounds the image.

This ambrotype was part of a unique collection of images that featured animals.    [sm]
