1840’S SIXTH PLATE DAGUERROTYPE OF THREE SISTERS

$165.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: 611-351

Image shows three sisters that can’t be more than a year apart and look to be 7 or 8 years old. All three wear identical outfits of a dark plaid dress with lace collars, white muslin undersleeves and fish-net half gloves. All three have their hair parted in the middle and apparently held in a snood at the back.

This delightful image is in good condition. It is clear with good contrast.

Image comes with brass mat and frame. The brass mat has a fern decoration on each corner.

The full leather case has a blue velvet lining on the interior while the exterior has a floral design on the front and a geometric pattern on the back. Hinge is not replaced so this case originally had the mixed decoration on the front and back.
