This is a full view of two young boys, likely brothers, kneeling on the floor with a large dog lying in front of them. Both boys are wearing dark colored coats with white shirts and cravats.

Image is clear with good contrast. Some light oxidation has occurred.

Image comes housed in full pressed paper case, which is in very good condition. Case is lined in dark red colored velvet with an embossed design. Decorative brass mat surrounds the image.  Image is sized just under the half plate standard.

This daguerreotype was part of a unique collection of images that featured animals.   [sm]
