This is a full standing view of a man who is wearing a dark colored frock coat, vest, trousers, white shirt and hat. He is holding a leash which is attached to a small deer that is standing in front of him.
Image is clear with fair contrast. Some very slight oxidation has occurred.
Image comes housed in full gutta-percha case, which is in very good condition. Case is lined in dark blue colored velvet with an embossed design. There is a tear in the velvet on the lower right corner. Decorative brass mat surrounds the image.
This tintype was part of a unique collection of images that featured animals. [sm]
