19^th Century stereo magnifier made of wood. Item is box shaped and meas. approx. 6.75 x 10.75 x 2.75. Item is made with an upper and lower compartment.

The lid has one large circular magnifier that meas. approx. 5.75 inches across which allows you to have an enlarged view of any photograph or stereo card. Above the large viewer are two smaller view ports approx. 2.25 inches across which allow you to view a stereo card in magnification.

The lid can be lifted and held at an angle by using the wood support that is stored in the upper compartment of the box. If a 90-degree angle is desired this same compartment has a small brass arm that raises up to hold the lid at a right angle.

The whole upper part of the viewer can be placed on an angle by using the wood adjustment bar in the lower compartment. This bar is cut to fit into notches glued to the very bottom panel of the box.

There is an age crack approx. 1.00 inch long beneath the main viewer lens with another age crack approx. 0.50 an inch long above the left stereo lens. All the glass on the viewer is in good condition. Box edges have some minor chips  that show its age but overall the item is in very nice condition and operates as it should.  [ad]
