E. & H.T. Anthony stereo view on orange mount. Printed on the mount edge is “THE WAR FOR THE UNION-PHOTOGRAPHIC HISTORY”. View is #2609. Green paper caption on back reads “DUTCH GAP CANAL. TAKEN AFTER THE BANK WAS BLOWN OUT. PROF. MAILLEFERT IN THE FORE’GD.” Image shows a man standing along the bank of the canal.
