CW SPOON & KNIFE UTENSIL SET

$295.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: M23200

Three piece wooden handled set with folding spoon & two blades, with identifying tag “Holly Springs/ Miss./ Battlefield”. Handle measures 4.5” in length, .75” in width. Spoon is functional; one of the blades is loose, and the other is frozen within. Wooden handle slightly chipped at the lower end.

The Battle of Holly Springs occurred in December 1862 with the raid of Confederate General Earl Van Dorn on the Union supply depot there, which was demolished. This affected Grant’s later decision to cut his supply line and live off the countryside while besieging Vicksburg, MI, from the rear.

An attractive and intriguing utensil set.
