The body of this shot is covered in rust with light to moderate pitting throughout its surface. There is a darker area where the pitting is heaviest that shows a little material loss.
This round was meant for use in a 6lb gun or Mountain howitzer.
The battle of Savage Station was one of the Seven Day’s Battles before Richmond in 1862.
