This eagle breast plate has a dark brown patina with some mild dirt. The back has some surface rust and is missing its loops. Accompanied by original digger’s typed tag which reads, “Union Army Eagle Plate / From Cartridge Box Sling / Found on the Chancellorsville / Battlefield, Virginia / May 2-3 1863”.
