This white metal button was made in France and used on a group of Chasseur uniforms issued to unites from Pennsylvania, Massachusetts and New York. This button has a nice clean face with an eagle with Federal shield on his chest surmounted by 13 stars.
Button is one piece and reverse has thick shank with Paris maker’s impression.
Very nice conditioned button made early in the war.
