CONFEDERATE FRAME BUCKLE RECOVERED AT FREDERICKSBURG

$350.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: 729-72

This is the standard style Confederate frame buckle. There are no beveled edges and it is not a “gutter back” style. This buckle is made of cast brass with straight edges.

The brass has a nice dark patina throughout. One of the two teeth has broken off but the rest of the plate is in good shape. There are no other chips or cracks. The reverse still shows some file marks which adds some nice character to the piece.

Item was recovered at Fredericksburg.
