This skin of an eagle breast plate recovered from the Confederate lines at Fredericksburg, Virginia is missing its lead backing. It measures 2.5" diameter and is missing some of the face as well. The tag indicates it would have been left at the battlefield on December 13, 1862. It includes the original, typed digger's tag.
