US 3-INCH HOTCHKISS FUSE RECOVERED AT CHANCELLORSVILLE

$50.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: M24110

This brass fuse was meant for use in a 3-inch conical Hotchkiss shell. The entire fuse has a nice green patina and written on the collar in black marker is “CHANCELLORSILLE” along with a date that looks like 1973 but due to the dark patina and the dark ink it is hard to read.

The Chancellorsville area saw action both in May 1863 and during the battle of the Wilderness in May of 1864.
