This relic was dug in Nashville, Tennessee.
The item consists of the frame with its inner components, one barrel, one nipple and both triggers. Neither of the hammers remains.
The metal surface of the barrel is dark while the frame is light enough to see the fine engraving on its sides.
This is a very interesting little relic from an area of Tennessee that saw more than its share of soldiers throughout the war.
