Item Code: R21774
Very nice example of a 3 inch Hotchkiss canister round. The top is nicely crimped around an iron plate and the bottom has a lead sabot. There is raised lettering on the bottom of the sabot that reads “HOTCHKISS 3 IN. JAN’Y 7, 1862 PATENT.” Just over 7.5 inches tall. The iron top plate exhibits some light surface rust and there are some dings and dents on the tin body, otherwise the condition is good.
