This shell was once part of the DuBose Collection of Atlanta, Georgia. The projectile is labeled number “183” from the DuBose Collection inventory. There is moderate surface action, and the fuse is missing. The shell would have taken a Schenkl percussion fuse and paper-mache sabot. There is light pitting and varnish. The projectile could be cleaned.  [WS]
