This US breast plate features the spread-winged eagle design. It was recovered from the greater Richmond area. Plate has a semi-bright patina, with high areas showing more original gilt. Edge of plate is smooth.  Reverse of plate still retains lead fill and both iron loops are present. Loops both have surface rust.      [SM]
